The TechConnect World Conference & Expo, including Canada Innovates! (June 13 - 16, 2011)

The mission of TechConnect World is to match innovative solutions to real world challenges, with a technical focus on cleantech, nanotech and biotech. TechConnect World brings together over 5,000 business and technical professionals including leading researchers, buyers, entrepreneurs, corporate business developers, investors, service providers, commercialization/tech transfer officers, industry analysts and members of the media. Our goal is to facilitate matching of buyers and sellers, creating strategic partnerships, catalyzing discussions for IP licensing, venture capital, corporate financing and customer acquisition opportunities, and providing access to advanced research insight and best practices.

The Smart Grid - Venture Showcase (September 29, 2011)

The Institute for Energy & Sustainability has partnered with the Consulate General of Canada, Boston and U.K. based SETsquared to host a 2011 Smart Grid Venture Showcase. This event will bring the extraordinary talent of world-class entrepreneurs throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom together to pitch their companies smart grid products, innovations and technologies to an audience of angel investors, financiers, utility companies, potential customers and partners. This event will provide the opportunity for pre-selected companies to make timed-pitches on their business model and will be followed by a networking reception with key financiers and decision makers in this sector. There are expected to be 12 companies invited to make presentations, 6 from Canada and the UK and 6 from the USA.
