Nachum Sadan is a director and the president and CEO of Amperion in Lawrence, Massachusetts, which provides innovative smart-grid communications solutions for electric utilities and has had more than 100 patents granted and pending in its 10-year history.
Nachum is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of the company, and the execution of its business operations. He is a serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in power engineering, computer networking and data communications.
At Amperion, Nachum has turned around the company by developing a completely new communications platform based on innovative and patent-protected technology, selling that concept to one of the largest utility companies in the U.S. and bringing it to commercialization - all on an extremely tight budget.
Peter Porteous is CEO of Blue Line Innovations, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, which manufactures real-time energy-monitoring products that help consumers save money while helping to conserve energy.
Peter assumed the CEO role in 2009 after having supported co-founder Danny Tuff and the Management Team in a consulting capacity.
Founded in 2003, Blue Line Innovations has sold more than 150,000 units of its PowerCost Monitor, a real-time feedback device for monitoring home-electricity usage.
Amperion and Blue Line Innovations will be among the 10 presenting smart-grid companies at the Worcester-based Institute for Energy & Sustainability’s Smart Grid Venture Showcase, to be held on September 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Worcester Technical High School.
WICN Public Radio is one of the sponsors of the Smart Grid Venture Showcase.
